Four suspects arrested in Three Rivers for damage to infrastructure

Police spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda reports that four Lesotho nationals were arrested on Friday on charges of damage to infrastructure.

VEREENIGING. – Funda says, “VR Security was alerted by one of their security guards stationed at the Euro Spar about the ongoing damage to infrastructure by four suspects. On arrival, the four were caught red-handed digging out cables and pipes belonging to Telkom.”

Funda states that Telkom personnel were called to the scene and on arrival they positively identified both the cables and pipes as Telkom property. ” The suspects were handed over to members of the Vereeniging SAPS  and a case docket of damage to infrastructure was opened.”

Station Commander, Sibongile Ndaba applauded all parties involved. “A good working relationship between the police and various security  companies will always yield good results.” Ndaba concludes.
