GP government to intensify vaccination drive ahead of Easter weekend
In the next week or two the provincial government will also be unveiling a massive Street by Street vaccination drive.

GAUTENG.- The Gauteng Provincial Government has said that it hasintensified its vaccination drive ahead of the Easter weekend and urges community members who are yet to vaccinate for the COVID-19 or are due for a booster shot to get their jab at any of the widely accessible sites.
The government said that intensified Easter vaccination will include the following activities:
• The launch of a road safety and vaccination drive in partnership with the Transport Education Training Authority which will see the set-up of a pop-up vaccination site at one of the biggest and busiest intermodal facility, Park Station, in Johannesburg CBD targeting commuters and those residing within the CBD.
• A call to faith-based organisation in the province to take advantage of government’s mobile vaccination services as many will be hosting Easter services. Faith-based communities or any institution that have 50 or more members that are yet to get the jab or need a booster shot to forward their requests to popupsite@gauteng.gov.za or call the Gauteng Hotline on: 0800 22 88 27.
• In the next week or two the provincial government will also be unveiling a massive Street by Street vaccination drive which will see the vaccination drive being taken literally to the doorsteps of communities which currently have low vaccine coverage.
