VANDERBIJLPARK.- VUT FC and Boipatong FC shared the spoil when these two sides played to a 1-1 all in a top of the table Safa Sedibeng SAB League match at Isak Steyl Stadium on Easter Friday.

This entertaining encounter was a decider with these two teams being first and second in STREAM A log standings. As things stand, VUT FC is at the summit of the Stream A log.  This game was viewed as the decider towards who will be crowded the  STREAM A champions come the end of the season.

However,  as things stand “The Students” look set to run away with the title if their current form is anything to go by. The winner of STREAM A is going to play against the winner in STREAM B to decide the team that will represent Sedibeng at the SAFA Regional Promotional Play-Offs for promotion to ABC Motsepe League next season. The NWU Vaal FC was the only team that represented Sedibeng in ABC Motsepe League. Sedibeng Ster Sports was informed that Vaal Professionals DC has sold their ABC Motsepe League status. To make it worse, NWU Vaal FC finished at the bottom of their stream and they must play relegation play offs to know if next season they will still play in ABC Motsepe League.
