Young writer releases book
It also highlights the importance of the value women play in the upliftment of society.

SEBOKENG.- With the foreword written by the highly acclaimed Dr Mamphela Ramphela, one can not expect less from a book that was recently released by a local young man, Karabo Nkoli.
The book is called ‘Conscious in Crisis’ and it confronts the issues in society that people only whisper about. It goes from exposing the wounds of rape culture, exploitation of young women by blessers, neo-colonialism of countries as a result of Chinas growing influence in Africa through questionable loans with exploitive agreements, the state of violence and killings in schools.

It also highlights the importance of the value women play in the upliftment of society, how Ubuntu remains a fundamental moral compass for society, challenges citizens to contribute to the change they seek in the country, and how the current generation must rise up to find and fulfill its mission amidst the struggles it’s facing, more so awakening their consciousness in times of crisis.
Nkoli who hails from Vanderbijlpark, became one of South Africa’s youngest writers at the age of 14 in 2016.
He has been awarded the Rising Star Award by YB20 Awards. Founder of the Youth Must Movement, mentor to up-and-coming young authors. He is affectionately called “Son of the Nation” because of his love for his country and youth upliftment.
