South Africa was well represented in Morocco
It was a sad day for South Africa when Al Ahly lost 2-0 to Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League final in Morocco on Monday night.

SEDIBENG.- ‘Son of the soil’, as Mosimane has been called since he joined this Egyptians giants Ah Ahly, missed the opportunity to make history to win the CAF Champions League’ trophy for the third time with the club. It was not to be for Mosimane’s team who dominated the better part of the proceeding on the night, and it could have been a different story all together if his side converted their chances into goals to force the game to extra time.
Apart from Mosimane, South Africa was well represented in the game with referree Victor Gomes in the middle of the park as the referee. He had a great game, and this was one of the best final for him taking into consideration there was’nt any controversy. Even though, he didn’t have a great game, all eyes were also on Percy Tau who made history when he was signed by Al Ahly. There was a reason for most South African to rally behind Al Ahly because of the Coach Pitso and Tau. CAF President, Patrice Motsepe completes the list of representatives from South Africa who were part of this mouth watering final. After the final it was hugs between Mosimane, Motsepe, Gomes and Tau congratulating each other just for being there and representing South Africa at this level of football despite Mosimane and Tau being on the losing side.
There was so much to be proud of as South Africans to see the country well represented in Morocco, on and off the field.
