Midvaal rated most financially sustainable municipality in the country

Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) Mayor Peter Teixeira has welcomed the recent announcement from Ratings Afrika, naming MLM the most financially sustainable municipality in the country.

MIDVAAL. – This follows Ratings Afrika’s latest annual report for the Municipal Financial Sustainability Index (MFSI) for the financial results of the 100 largest local municipalities, plus the 8 metros in South Africa.

Folloing the news, Teixeira reaffirmed MLM’s commitment to sound financial principles.

“Myself, my mayoral Committee, executives and municipal officials will continue to ensure that sound financial principles are followed in MLM. That rates collected from our residents are used to deliver services as efficiently as possible.

“We commit to continuously improving our services to the residents of MLM and thank them for continuing to pay for their services. Being financially stable is the bare minimum required of us.”

Texeira states that MLM is fully committed to continue providing exceptional service delivery to residents.
