Action Society’s group’s director for community safety, Ian Cameron is to lay a formal complaint against Police Minister Bheki Cele and police officers after Cameron was forcibly removed from a public meeting on crime on Tuesday.
The meeting took place in Gugulethu on Tuesday.

Opposition parties slammed Cele’s outburst.
One SA Movement leader Mmusi Maimane said: “While it may have been hard for him to hear these words, these remarks did not warrant the behavior from the minister of police. Citizens have a right to raise their concerns robustly. This was robust but respectful engagement.”
Pieter Groenewald of the FF Plus said Cele must apologise: “He is supposed to set an example on how to act as minister of police. He is not fit to be the minister if he acts the way he did.”
