SEDIBENG.-  This was after they finished at the top of Group C beating Nigeria 2-1, 3-1 Burundi and 1-0 Botswana in their group stages. It was encouraging performance for Banyana Banyana as they maintained 100% performance in all the games, they played beating Nigeria in the opening stages of the tournament. Banyana Banyana finished their group stages with a 1-0 victory over Botswana on Sunday night to qualify for the quarterfinals. Speaking to media after the game, Banyana Banyana Coach Desiree Ellis was impressed with her team’s overall performance since the tournament started. However, Ellis believes they could have done better in some games especially against Burundi, where they missed lot of chances.
