13 illegal immigrants arrested for hijacking truck
Some might argue that it is at a snail's pace, but improvements to combat crime in the country can be seen by the arrests police are making on a daily basis.
VANDERBIJLPARK.- The Flexi1 Flying squad members made a follow up on information of a hijacked truck in Vanderbijlpark on Sunday at around 18:00.
This is where they arrested thirteen (13) Malawian nationals who were found at an empty stand busy offloading cargo from white Mecerdes-Benz truck that was reported stolen in Eldorado Park which had two trailers. Police Spokesperson Sergeant Nombulelo Mohlakoana said that the truck was was carrying sweets with an undisclosed amount in value.
The suspects were arrested for possession of hijacked truck and being undocumented.
