Two suspects nabbed for possession of stolen property in Vanderbijlpark

A combined effort by the Vanderbijlpark Vispol Suport, Passenger Railway Agency of South Africa (PRASA),  Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Bylaw Unit together with Sekuriteit Sonder Grense yielded success after two suspects were nabbed  for being in possession of suspected stolen property.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – The team embarked on an operation following intelligence received on houses with suspicious activities in the area.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale says, ” Three houses were visited and all three houses had positive information.

“On arrival, the team seazed items such as  video cameras, printers, pool pump machine, TV screens, dagga plants and knives .

“Two suspects in their late 30s attempted to flee from the scene upon seeing law enforces. They were subsequently arrested and charged with possession of suspected stolen property.”

Sedibeng District Police Commissioner Major General Zodwa Molefe applauded the members on a well executed operation and for ensuring that these suspects of crime are brought to book.

Makhale further urged Vanderbijlpark residents to be vigilant as the area has increased house robberies where dangerous weapons are being used by perpetrators.

“Suspects will be appearing before the Vanderbijlpark magistrate court soon,” Makhale concludes.
