BOIPATONG.- This fourth-round fight was decided on points with Maitse winning it and being crowned the champion in his debut as a professional fighter.

Maitse who is the son of Bongani ‘ Wonderboy’ Mahlangu is destined for a great future if his weekend performance is anything to go by. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, the delighted Maitse said that he came into this fight well prepared. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that it was not an easy fight but that he was well aware that it was not going to be a walk in the ring.

“I feel great winning my first fight as a professional boxer and this has motivated me to work harder for the future fights. I’m really proud of myself and I want to thank everyone for preparing me for this fight especially my coaches. I’m looking forward to the next fight and I wish it can be soon because I’m very motivated now and I have a reason to wake up in the morning with confidence,” said Maitse.
