All roads lead to Durban for ‘Wafa Wafa’ final

All roads will lead to Durban for the much anticipated MTN8 Cup final between Orlando Pirates and Amazulu, tomorrow, Saturday.

SEDIBENG.-  This much anticipated Wafa Wafa finals is scheduled to take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium with Pirates coming into this Saturday encounter still mourning a 1-0 defeat against bitter rivals, Kaizer Chiefs in the DStv Premiership over the past weekend.

This was the same Orlando Pirates that at one stage was on fire after they knocked out Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN 8 competition when they beat them 3-0. However, their downfall is their inconsistent performance as they lose or draw the games that they are supposed to win. This has been their story since the beginning of the season despite playing fast flowing football which saw them mesmerizing Mamelodi Sundowns in both first and second leg semi-finals of the MTN8 Cup.

In Amazulu, they come up against stubborn opponents especially playing in their home town, Durban.  It is not going to be  an easy outing for Orlando Pirates especially coming into this game, still licking their wounds after that shock defeat against Kaizer Chiefs. They came into the encounter as red hot favorites but left the FNB Stadium with their tails between their legs.

Expect fireworks, tomorrow with both teams sharing the same playing philosophy, keeping the ball possession and playing from the back. It is a final that  is worth watching if both teams’ current performance is anything to go by. Sedibeng Ster Sport prediction is that, “the team that will score first will be crowned the MTN8 Cup champions for 2022.

The game kicks off at 18:00.
