Mamelodi Sundowns ladies through to the CAF finals

The defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are through to the CAF Women’s Champions League finals following their 1-0 victory against Simba Queens in Rabat in Morocco on Wednesday night.

SEDIBENG.- Sedibeng Ster Sport, predicted that Sundowns ladies looked set to defend their title after their outstanding performance in group stages. “Banyana Ba Style” maintained a 100% performance when they won all their group stages games. Boitumelo Rabale who produced  Player of the Match performance scored the only goal of the game as Sundowns ladies made their intentions clear to defend their title.

However, Sundowns had to sweat for this victory with Simba Queens throwing everything to them especially in the second half in search of an equalizer. It was a great advert for women football with both teams launching attack-after-attack. The Sundowns ladies team have reached the final for two successive years after they were crowned the CAF Women’s League champions last year.

As things stand, Sundowns looks set to return their title if their performance against Simba Queens is anything to go by. This South African team showed character to protect their lead for the better part of the second half with their goalkeeper making some brilliant saves to deny Simba Queens an equalizer.
