MZANSI. – Popular disk jockey and music producer, Oupa Sefoka, famously known as Dj Sumbody has died. The flamboyant DJ was gunned down in Johannesburg in the early hours of Sunday, November 20, 2022 morning.
A hail of bullets was fired towards the driver’s side of the Monate Mpolaye and Ayep yep hit maker’s vehicle. According to other reports, it is alleged that Dj Sumbody’s body guard was also shot during the incident. In a statement issued today, family spokesperson, Mmanake Mokiti confirmed the passing of the music producer.
“Artist and musician Dj Sumbody has died. Details of his untimely death cannot be released but the artist named Oupa John Sefoka allegedly ran into an unfortunate incident that led to his passing in the early hours of Sunday morning,” said the spokesperson.
Mokiti added that the Sefoka family and Sumsounds Music management requests privacy during this difficult time and added that another statement will be released in due time.
