VUT PR students visit MaTwala Children’s Home
The children enjoyed the visit and asked the visitors to come back soon.

SEDIBENG. – Christmas came early for the children when a group of second year Public Relations students known as team ‘Bendalo’ gave back to the community by reaching out to the MaTwala Children’s Home in Vanderbijlpark last week.
Team Bendalo visited the home in Vanderbijlpark on Friday where they made donations and got involved in other activities.

Since their arrival in the morning the team started by painting the home, braiding the girls’ hair and giving the boys different haircuts. A bunch of clothing was also donated to the kids which left them thankful.
“This was part of our assessment that saw the team going the extra mile to make the event a success and put a smile on the children’s faces,” the team members said.
The event also received good praises from the Child Welfare South Africa (Vanderbijlpark). The home’s owner, commonly known as Mme Mathwala could not hold back her tears of excitement and wished the students the best of luck in their studies and wished for more collaborations from them.
