SMALL FARM – This is after the 27-year-old was killed by an unknown man following a mini quarrel on Saturday.
The mystery death of slain Emmanuel haunts his family as the man had no enemies.
However, during the interview, his family told the paper that the father of one fought with his landlord weeks before his gruesome murder, who [the landlord] called gunmen on him.
Since that incident, Emmanuel didn’t live a normal life as he feared for his life.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster at their family home in Small Farm, Mantwa Mofokeng (41) aunt to the deceased said when they got to the scene, they found Emmanuel shot on the face with his hands inside his trouser.
“We were called to the scene after Emmanuel was shot. When we got there, we found his friend who told us that Emannuel’s killer shot him and fled the scene,” she said.
“We asked the friend what happened, he said Emmanuel’s shooter just shot him without when he asked him why was he looking at him,” she added.
Mantwa added that he family still wonder if Emmanuels question was the only reason he was shot for.
“If my brother’s sin was to ask why the man looked at him, why shoot him instead of walking away. Emmanuels gunshot wounds showed that he was not facing his killer when the murder happened. He was shot on the side of his face and his hands were stuck inside his trouser. If they fought, he his hands wouldn’t have been stuck there,” she said.
Selloane Mofokeng (33) also an aunt to dead Emmanuel said all they want is justice for the murder of their brother.
“We want to know our brother’s killer and we would like to know why did he kill him. Even if he they fought, he didn’t have the right to kill him.”
Evaton police spokeswoman Constable Thulisile Msibi said a murder case has been opened and investigations are underway.
“At this moment no suspect has been arrested and investigations are ongoing,” she said.
