SHARPEVILLE.- The Lekoa Athletics Club hosted a successful 5km Fun Run at George Thabe Stadium in Sharpeville recently.

The fun-run was in commemoration of the signing of the South African constitution that was signed by former President Nelson Mandela at this venue on 10 December 1996.  Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Lekoa Athletics Club founder, Sandile Ncala, hailed this commemoration as a great success.

“I want to thank those who came in numbers to make this initiative a success. This is part of our haritage and we intend to organize this event every year”, said Ncala.
