Thatohatsi does it for the love of children

During the closing ceremony children were given food, clothes and then presents with party packs and other gifts.

EVATON. – The Thatohatsi Community Centre recently held its closing ceremony at the Evaton Community Centre.

Based in Ward 19, Evaton, and run by Puleng Sera the Centre offers meals to children and disadvantaged families, on weekends, throughout the year. This is made possible by Sera whole solely runs the project from her pocket.

“We are doing all this for the love of our community. Evaton consists mainly of families that are underprivileged and sometimes children go to bed hungry, that is what we are trying to avoid. It becomes difficult sometime to can achieve the goals we have set because of financial constraints, that is why we are calling for support from the members of the community and businesses out there so that this project can continue,” said Sera.
