SEDIBENG. – Condolences have been pouring in following the passing of the Director in the Speakers office of the Sedibeng District Municipality (SDM), James Dlangamandla.

One of those have come from the Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) Executive Mayor, Peter Teixeira, who when speaking on behalf of the MLM said that Dlangamandla made a significant contribution to the development of the MLM and was always eager to assist during his tenure as MMC for Transport and Infrastructure in the municipality.

“He was an active member of his community who rose from being a Member of the Midvaal Council to a Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) in Sedibeng District Municipality. We send our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. May his soul rest in peace.”

Meanwhile the African National Congress (ANC) and the ANC Youth League (YL) in Sedibeng have said that Dlangamandla, a former ANCYL Deputy Chair in Sedibeng was a champion of youth development and a revolutionary.

Dlangamandla’s memorial Service will be held today, 5 January in Daleside from 15:00 while his funeral service will be on Saturday, 7 January in Daleside from 11:00.

Dlangamandla is said to have passed away following an illness.
