Academic year starts on a high note as DJ Maphorisa visits Katleho Secondary School in Sebokeng

Re Bana Ba Straata : Pupils fail to contain their excitement as DJ Maphorisa visits school on the first day.

SEBOKENG. – Katleho  (Impumelelo) Secondary School pupils failed to  contain their excitement upon the arrival of popular Music Producer and DJ Maphorisa, whose real name is Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe (35).

Selokowe,  who has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry was greeted by screams and singing of his latest hit song “Ba Straata”.

Selokwe visited the school as part of the Gauteng Government school readiness campaign, led by the office of Social Development MEC, MBali Hlophe who was in absentia due to an urgent matter.

Selokwe urged pupils to work hard in order to achieve their life goals. “You have to be disciplined and work tirelessly in order to achieve your dreams. stay away from drugs and focus on your studies.”

Selokwe told the youngsters that they could become whatever they wanted to become despite their circumstances, only through dedication.

The School’s Adopt a Cop, Lietenant Colonel Adelle Celliers focused on general behavior at school. “Please look after each other. Do no go on social media and speak badly about each other. We are all the same no matter our differences. You all have the same dreams, don’t exclude anyone based on differences.”

Celliers urged  learners to  listen to their teachers and seek help when they experience problems at School or at home.
