VEREENIGING. – Khanyiswa Ramawela 68(39) has from Arcon Park has embarked on a journey to become a voice for the voiceless through entering the Mrs South Africa 2023 pageant.
Ramawela says the feeling of having been chosen to be part of the 100 semi-finalists in this year’s pageant still feels surreal, as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery, building up her self-confidence and finding her own voice.
Ramawela currently works as a Pharmacist at Sebokeng Hospital. She is passionate about education and the upliftment of other women in her field as well as other fields.
As a mother of three girls and a life coach, Ramawela says her greatest passion is to help young women realize their dreams.
“I want to serve as a role model for young girls and make them realize that one’s background could never determine their future. I come from the village in Eastern Cape and yet I was able to make it out of that situation. If I can make it then anyone can, this is my message to young girls.”
As a life coach, Ramawela says she is always happy to see people grow out of their fear and begin realizing their purpose and dreams.
“I would like to use this platform to encourage young people to act now on their dreams, whether it’s education or starting their own businesses, they can make it far. All they have to do is just believe in themselves.”
Ramawela asks members of the community to follow her journey to becoming the next Mrs South Africa by following her on her Facebook handle: Khanyiswa Ramawela and by sending an SMS to 47587 with her name and surname Khanyiswa Ramawela.
