SEDIBENG.- Vaal’s rising star, Relebogile Ratomo’s (17) dream to play in the Nedbank Cup Final has come sooner than expected.

This sensational midfielder’s name is on everyone’s lips after his debut for Orlando Pirates against Royal AM in the DStv Premiership recently. The talented youngster didn’t just make his debut but also scored in his first appearance in top-flight football when Pirates played to a 1-all draw against AM Royal. Ratomo was on the bench when Orlando Pirates beat Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup Semifinals played at the packed FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune will meet in the Nedbank Cup final scheduled to take place at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on 27 May. The two sides booked their place in the final after they beat Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch in the semifinals respectively over the weekend.

This young star from Sedibeng will go down in the history of South African football as one of the young stars to make headlines when he debuted in top-flight football at the age of 17. If Pirates are crowned the Nedbank Cup Champions, Ratomo will win his first medal in his first professional debut within three weeks in the PSL. Orlando Pirates beat Mamelodi Sundowns in a race to sign this talented young star from Vaal.
Ratomo has been scooping awards in junior tournaments from a young age and it came as no surprise when these two South African football giants fought for his signature. He is set to follow in the footsteps of local players such as Steve “Chippa” Lekoeloea, and Thabo Rakhale to mention these two who were once Orlando Pirates darlings.
