Daliwonga a no-show at VMC’s Savanna Monday again!

"Daliwonga didn't pitch as advertised for the second time at VMC, and we thought it would be fair to address this matter as urgently and with the utmost transparency possible," VMC Management.

EVATON – Daliwonga is definitely not a darling after all.

This after the Amapiano star failed to show up for a booked gig at Vaal Monate Café’s (VMC) Savanna Mondays.

According to the outlet’s management, real name Daliwonga Matiwane (29) disappointed them for the second time, despite them (VMC) putting their faith and hope in him as a make-up for the previous displeasure.

In a statement issued on VMC’s Facebook account, it is said that the star had to be called on the last hours of his set gigging time on Monday, May 29, but never bothered to answer his phone.

“Daliwonga didn’t pitch as advertised for the second time at VMC, and we thought it would be fair to address this matter as urgently and with the utmost transparency possible. It is rather unfortunate that at the eleventh hour literally we as The Vaal Monateng Cafe couldn’t get hold nor ascertain the whereabouts of Daliwonga in relation to making his way to our outlet as agreed,” said the management.

Organised on the eleventh hour, King Deetoy and De Mthuda shaked and moved the much disappointed fans at VMC. Photo: VMC Facebook page.

While the venue was packed by his crowd after the nightlife joint advertised his performance, a last-minute resort had to be taken by the management.

“It Is in that spirit after exploring all avenues available at such short notice we were able to reach an agreement with one of the top artists, Dj, and master producer in the country De Mthuda to replace Daliwonga as we found it unacceptable to drop our loyal fans for a second time without an alternative plan,” read the statement.

Sedibeng Ster sent the amapiano musicians, who didn’t bother to answer his phone when attempted to be given a right of reply.

Despite several messages and calls, at the time of publishing this story, Wonga, not so darling had not been reached.
