The Tshiamiso Community Project to host Nelson Mandela Day luncheon

SEDIBENG.-  The Tshiamiso Community Project will host a Nelson Mandela Day Luncheon for Servant-Hood Hall of Fame Inductions of Personages who contributed to  Servant-Hood his history in the areas of education, culture, development, and South African Liberation from out of the Vaal, in the past and present.

This event is scheduled to take place at Meyerton Town Hall on 18 July with the theme of the event being: ‘THE GREAT VAAL SELF-RECOVERY’

It is expected to attract Media, Civic Leaders, Opinion Formers, authors, artists, faith-based organizations leaders, government leaders, business and political leaders including ordinary citizens from Vaal and the whole of Gauteng as some of them are nominees from Induction in the Post-Humous Category.

The objective of the Servant-Hood Hall Of Fame Induction dinner is to foremost bring into one venue the generation of those who were young people during the Sharpeville Shootings and the June 16 together with today’s young people for a historical luncheon to inspire their self-esteem through the recognition of their regional and home towns history.

These are the people of all colours who share a common tragedy of historical and generational creative loss, in this country basically because of our past history’s separate compartmentalizing areas of learning and living spaces. in separate.

“While in essence, our primary objective is to seek seed funding for training children at the youngest possible age against gender negativities early tendencies and engender a world and recover a positive co-existence between the opposite sexes very early on thereby contributing to the nurturing of the young to be part of the re-creation of a healthy society.”

The funding will also go towards the building of a Museum to house and preserve his/herstory of the VAAL on the ground that is already available for this purpose. Part of the proceeds will also go to an agreed upon Youth Development Program; called ‘Inter-Generational Empowerment’.

“While the above organization has already been selected, historically deserving candidates also people of the Broader Vaal are being requested to provide us with names of such historical names (departed or still alive.) from the FBO’s, NGOs and other Institutions with the relevant memory.”
