The group was created after the death of Motsoikha's husband.

BOPHELONG.- Madam Free and Powerhouse Women In Touch was launched, in style celebrating Father’s Day at the glamourous event held at Kgalala Palace outside Bophelong on Saturday.

The launch was attended by both men and women as it was a joint celebration with Father’s Day.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Freda Motsoikha who is well known as ‘Madam Free’ because of her contribution to the community said that she was given the nickname Madam Free by Theta FM listeners for her selfless contribution to the community.

She told Sedibeng Ster that they decided to launch this brand on Father’s Day in honour of her late husband, Petrus Motsoikha. Madam Free and Powerhouse Woman In Touch were created to address not only women’s issues but also the challenges men are facing.

“I chose Father’s Day because of my late husband, brothers, and also my father. I’m dedicating this day to men to say we acknowledge and celebrate you men. I want you to see that MadamFree is also here for you if you need help,” she said.

Motsoikha said Woman In Touch is not necessary for women but also for dealing with the challenges that male faces in life. The event was attended by both men and women, young and old to witness the launch and celebrate Father’s Day. The launch was also a joint venture between her daughter’s brand.

Motsoikha’s daughter, Sebolelo Lempe said apart from her involvement with the Women In Touch program she is also a spiritual healer. She said as a young person it was difficult to accept her calling because of a lot of judgment in the world. She told Sedibeng Ster that she had to sacrifice her paid job to follow her calling.

She works as an administrator at her mother’s business office in Moshoeshoe Street where they do a lot of things including counseling and consulting. “Look, I had no choice but to leave my job because there was no balance in my life due to my spiritual calling,” she told Sedibeng Ster.
