IRONSIDE. – 26-year-old Sifiso Gladwin Hlongwane known as KoolMadKid from Ironside is due to release an Extended Play (EP) dubbed ‘Life Notice’.

Talking about his project, KoolMadKid says its objective is to highlight issues of Gender-based Violence (GBV) in relationships.

“The EP also addresses the importance of family and how people should always ensure they maintain a healthy relationship. It’s about life and living it to the fullest,” he said.

The up-and-coming artist says he fell in love with the Hip-hop music genre at the age of 17.
“I have learned a lot about the entertainment industry. I was told that I’m not good enough, what I’m doing is a waste of time, and I won’t make it in this industry. However, I overcame the challenges by simply believing in myself. Not giving up and not letting other people’s negativity affect me.”

KoolMadKid says it took a long time for artists to be given the recognition they deserve.

“Things have taken a big turn, and we are being recognized for our talents.
“I want to see myself Having my clothing brand and succeeding in helping other young artists who are finding it hard to be recognized. It important to pass on the wisdom you have to other young artists out there.”

KoolMadKid’s music is currently being played on local radio stations.
