SEBOKENG. – 38-year-old Masabata Matebula, an EPWP worker at the Albertina Sisulu Clinic at Zone 11 Sebokeng found herself trending on social media over the weekend after a patient made an appreciation post on Facebook after being serviced at the clinic.
Dieketseng Skelem said: “I am a patient at the Albertina Sisulu Clinic and yesterday was not the first time I came to the clinic. Your treatment is out of this world. You work extremely hard and you take good care of your patients. If no one has ever told you, I’m telling you today. I hope God blesses you, I love your heart and your patience. Please take your flowers while you can still smell them.”
Speaking to Matebula, she said her love for helping people is the one thing that pushes her to wake up and go to work every morning.
“I love helping people with a smile. There are already so many things that people go through and the last thing they need is to get bad treatment from the people they expect help from.
Speaking about the overwhelming love she received from the Vaal community after a patient made a post about her on Facebook, Matebula said that this serves as proof that her heart is in the right place.
“I didn’t know that people love me so much. I’m really grateful for everything. This is a sign that I am doing what I am meant to do. My dream is to carry on helping people with a smile on my face and to remain humble while doing it.”
