VANDERBILJPARK. – In a shocking turn of events, another woman has been arrested in connection with the murder of David Tlali (42) who was gunned down at his home in Tshepiso Phase 5 in August.
The two suspects in the matter include Tlali’s wife Nthabiseng Tlali and her co-accused Lineo Raditsela. The two suspects made a brief appearance at the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court on November 25. The court hearing was attended by scores of community members.
On the day of the incident, police spokesperson Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela said the car belonging to the deceased was found abandoned at the scene.
“Preliminary investigations show that the deceased was shot as he opened his gate. He was found lying on the ground in the early hours of the morning.”
Neighbours informed Ster North that they heard gunshots after 22:00 but were too afraid to go outside and check what was going on.
A friend of the family, Putsoe Thinane, said he is hurt by how his friend was killed. Thinane said the deceased had plans for his life, adding that the plans had been cut short.
Maxambela confirmed the arrest of the two suspects.
“Two women have been arrested and subsequently charged with the murder of David Tlali. Investigations in the matter are ongoing.”
The two accused are expected to make an appearance at the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court for a formal bail application on December 3.
