VANDERBIJLPARK – A man has been arrested and remains in custody after allegedly stabbing another on February 24 in Ravel Road next to the Saspark bottle store.

According to the Vanderbijlpark police spokesperson, Sergeant Sabelo Sigcu, the incident happened around 18:20.
Sigcu said police were called by eyewitnesses following the brutal stabbing.

“It is alleged that the victim was stabbed in the chest and succumbed to the injuries at the scene. On arrival, our officers found the victim lying on the ground and the head facing up,” he said.

Sigcu said the victim was declared dead at the scene by the paramedics.

“We highly condemn these acts of criminality, and investigations are still underway to make sure that the suspect does not have any chance of being released,” he said.
