Young Banyana Banyana lose to Zambia in COSAFA final

The young Bnayana Banyana team lost 1-0 to Zambia in the COSAFA Women’s Championship at Isaac Wolfson Stadium in Kwa- Zakhele on Sunday.

SEDIBENG.- This young Banyana Banyana team was made up of u/17 players with Simphiwe Dludlu being in charge of the team.

Despite the defeat, this Banyana Banyana B team displayed entertaining football in the absence of the senior players who were involved in  international friendly matches against Brazil womens national team. Speaking after the game, Dludlu said it was a great experience for her young team and reaching the final was a great achievement for them. No doubt, this u/17 teams was brilliant to watch throughout the tournament and was much appreciated by the supporters.

“I have no doubt that for these bunch of young players there is a great future ahead if they can continue to work hard. I was very impressed how they play as a team and individually through the tournament until we lost in the final against the more experienced Zambia,” she concluded.
