Vaal players make a mark in the DStv Premier Soccer League
Sedibeng Ster Sport recently took a look at the Vaal (Sedibeng) players who are plying their trade in the DStv Premier Soccer League in the season that is under way and realised that Vaal's talent is plenty.
SEDIBENG.- For years now Sedibeng (Vaal) has been represented in topflight football despite not having a PSL team after the relegation of Vaal Professionals Football Club (FC). Former Orland Pirates defender, Phiri Tsotetsi, is one of the stalwarts who was making an enquiry abut how many players from the Vaal are playing in the DStv Premier League in the current season.

The players that currently represent Vaal in the DStv Premier League are Sabelo Radebe (Kaizer Chiefs), Siyabonga Ngezana (Kaizer Chiefs), Kamohelo Mahlatsi (Kaizer Chiefs), Lebohang Lesako (Swallows FC on loan from Kaizer Chiefs), Thapelo Maseko (SuperSport United), Thabiso Lebitso (Chippa United) and Kamohelo Mahlasela (Royal AM). However, Tshepang Moremi was in the Amazulu books before he joined Motsepe Foundation Championship club, JDR.
To make it interesting, unlike in the past, these are young players who were promoted to the top flight football in the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 seasons. Apart from the above mentioned players who play in PSL, there are many up and coming players who play in the PSL development teams who come from the Vaal. They are all over PSL clubs academies like Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and SuperSport United to mention but few.
