Senior citizen (67) kidnapped, murdered
Vereeniging police have uncovered the body of a 67-year-old woman who went missing on Thursday in a black refuse bag in a veld near Mckay Estates and Redan.
VEREENIGING. – The 67-year-old Charlotte Chrisine Fenn was last seen on Thursday (2 February 2023) when she left her home at around 15:00.
She was headed in the direction of the R59 highway in her white KIA vehicle with registration number DY 08 GY GP.
According to Capt. Fikile Funda, spokesperson for the Vereeniging police, she was reported as missing when she did not return home.
Funda says that on Monday (6 February 2023) at around 18:30 a passer-by saw a suspicious black refuse bag in the vicinity of Redan and McKay Estates and alerted the police.
“On further investigation a body of an old lady was discovered with multiple gun shot wounds to the head,” Funda says.
A preliminary investigation revealed that it is the body of 67-year-old Charlotte Chrisine Fenn who went missing last week.
According to Funda the police are investigating a case of kidnapping and murder.
