Community Emergency Response Team (CERT-Sa) said on Sunday night around 19h20, their Vaal crew responded to an incident in Kookrus, Meyerton, where a man was allegedly attacked.

“Upon arrival, a male patient was found, deceased in his bathtub, with his throat lacerated.”

The patient was declared dead on arrival by our medical personnel. The scene was handed over to police.”

The circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet clear.

The police have launched an inquest.
