Truck collides with a stationary vehicle on the N1

According to Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen, a female patient, who was seriously injured, was found to be entrapped in the wreckage of the truck.

Two people were injured after a truck collided with a stationary vehicle next to the road, before smashing into a concrete fence.

The crush happened on the N1 south before the Old Johannesburg Road off-ramp on Monday morning.

According to Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen, a female patient, who was seriously injured, was found to be entrapped in the wreckage of the truck.

“With the assistance of the Tshwane Fire Department and the Gauteng EMS Special Operations Response Team, the patient was stabilized and extricated from the wreckage.

“A male patient, believed to be the driver, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital for further care.”
