Midvaal racers live one quarter mile at a time

Local motorsport lovers made their way to Midvaal for drag racing last Sunday.

MEYERTON. – The smell of drag fuel, burning rubber and screeching tyres assaulted the senses during Sunday’s JDM vs The World drag racing that took place at the Midvaal Drag Strip in Riversdal.
The legendary MC Vic Pardal ran the show and gave the spectators blow by blow commentary as the four wheeled monsters set the track on fire. With round one of the SA Drag nationals taking place at Midvaal Raceway on April 13, everyone is busy tuning and fine tuning their rides in their ongoing quest for a sub 10 second quarter mile.
Audi’s, Corollas, BWMs, Cobras, Nissan and even a Capri entertained the spectators who came out in numbers to support their favourite drivers.
