Woman killed in Vanderbijlpark shooting

VANDERBIJLPARK. – A 33-year-old woman was shot and killed on Friday morning, April 05.
According to information at our disposal, the woman was driving to work when an alleged assassin opened fire toward her car on the robots adjacent to Curro and North West University, Vaal Campus.
Paramedics and police were called in and the victim was declared dead on scene.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, police spokesman Captain Teboho Lephoto said a murder case has been opened.
“We can confirm that an incident of shooting was reported to us that resulted to a murder of an African Female in her early Thirties of age. It is unknown at this stage what is the motive and who is or are the suspect/s, however, investigation is ongoing.” he said.
Lephoto said Vanderbijlpark Saps would like to ask the public or anyone to come forward to share a light on this heinous crime so that the perpetrators can be brought to book. And also caution the people who were at the scene to stop circulating the images from the scene.
