"She was shot several times and as one of the employees tried to assist the deceased, a suspect went towards him and shot him once."

SEBOKENG. – The Sebokeng police are investigating a case of murder and three attempted murders after four people were shot at the Boiketlong Funeral Directors in Industrial Park, Zone 10, Sebokeng on Tuesday afternoon.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane said that it is alleged that the victims were locking the business premises when they saw two unknown men going towards the deceased vehicle, which was parked outside the yard.

The deceased was seated in the driver’s seat. In contrast, one female was sitting in the front passenger seat and the other female in the rear passenger seat when one of the suspects started shooting at the driver, who has been identified as the daughter of the Boiketlong Funeral Directors owner, Lindiwe Malindi (31).

Afterward, the suspects went back to the vehicle and shot the passenger who was seated in the front once,” Mokhachane said adding that the passenger who was seated in the back seat was not shot at, but she suffered trauma.

After the incident, Mokhachane said, the suspects ran in the direction of the Boiketlong squatter camp, and the victims were transported to the hospital for medical attention where Malindi was declared dead.
