Focus on South African elections 2024

These two days of online training via Zoom Meeting were attended by journalists and by some of Africa's best journalists.

SEDIBENG.- With elections around the corner, media companies rolled up their sleeves to empower their journalists.

Caxton national and community journalists were among the journalists who attended Fack-Checking training with a focus on the South African elections in 2024. These two days of online training via Zoom Meeting were attended by journalists and by some of Africa’s best journalists.

The well-traveled Carina van Wyk conducted the training with courtesy of Africa Check. Some of the topics discussed include improving the quality of reporting during the elections scheduled to take place on May 29.

MooiVaal Media journalists were also part of this informative training program in preparation for elections. Speaking after the training, the journalists told Carina van Wyk that the training was informative with relevant information shared ahead of the polls.
