Six arrested for illegal firearm and live ammunition

ORANGE FARM. – The Orange Farm police were conducting a crime prevention routine recently when they spotted a suspicious motor vehicle with six suspects entering the Naledi taxi rank, Ext 1 Orange Farm on Wednesday at about 12:00 midday.

The police rapidly approached the vehicle and searched it as well as the suspects. They recovered two illegal fire arms and live ammunition from suspects.

Station Commander Brigadier RM Buthelezi said that suspects were immediately arrested and detained for possession of illegal fire arms and live ammunition.

“They will appear at the Vereeniging Magistrate’s court facing charges for possession of illegal fire arms and live ammunition.”
