School search and substance abuse campaign at Kudung High

"The search was to ensure that learners are not bringing substances to school.

SEDIBENG.- The Vaal Marina SAPS Social Crime Prevention Unit collaborated with Ratanda Social Crime Prevention to conduct a school search at Kudung High.

Police spokesperson, Constable Tshilidzi De Huis said that the purpose of the search was to ensure that learners are not bringing substances to school.

“The reasons for the search and the campaign were explained to the teachers and learners, and we managed to search six hundred learners.”

Amongst the stakeholders that were involved were:

  • Vaal Marina SAPS Social Crime Coordinator
  • Ratanda SAPS Social Crime Coordinator
  • Gauteng Traffic Wardens
  • Siyabangena Patrollers
  • The Youth Crime Prevention Desk
