Vanderbijlpark residents are advised to prepare for a planned power outage on Friday.

In a statement on Wednesday, Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) said the power shutdown will be in effect on Friday from midnight until Saturday at 02:00.

This is due to the necessary maintenance of the Eskom Riggi Substation which will affect operations at Munic Substation.

“No guarantee can be given that supply will remain off for the duration of the interruption and therefore, affected customers are advised to always treat all electrical circuits and appliances as LIVE.”
