Six arrested in ongoing hunt for robbery suspects

The suspects who appeared in court will remain in custody and will be further investigated for other crimes within the Sedibeng District.

VEREENIGING. – Six suspects recently appeared in the Vereeniging Magistrate’s Court on charges of business robbery.

This after liquor to the value of R45 000 was stolen during an armed robbery in Duncanville last week.

According to police spokesperson, Captain Teboho Lephoto the suspects fled the scene in two vehicles, but six were apprehended by police near Kliprivier. Police launched a manhunt for some of the robbers who managed to escape with the loot.

Lephoto said the suspects who appeared in court will remain in custody and will be further investigated for other crimes within the Sedibeng District.
