Foetus found dumped in a bucket

SEDIBENG.- A case of concealment of birth is being investigated by the Vaal Marina SAPS after a foetus was found dumped inside a bucket in Vaal Marina recently.
Constable Tshilidzi de Huis said that police were contacted by one of the farmers in the area informing them that two of his employees found a foetus that was abandoned inside a bucket in the farm while performing their duties.
“The employees confirmed to the police that they were busy cleaning the farm and cutting grass when they saw a closed bucket. When they opened it, they saw that it was full of water and blood with a foetus inside that was still connected to its umbilical cord. They immediately contacted their boss.”
Emergency medical services declared that it was a male human foetus, gender and it was declared dead by Emergency Medical Service’s personnel and then taken to the Sebokeng Government Pathology for further investigation.
