SEDIBENG. – Thabo Modiko known as ‘Musical Dynasty’ has grown up to be one of the most talented versatile artists in the area.
The founder of Dreaded Empire told Sedibeng Ster that listening to music on a daily basis from a young age made him realise his ‘creative juices.’
“I love Afro music and reggae for how it made me feel and fusing them together was a huge thing to me, because most people say I gave birth to a new genre.”
Several years ago, he started playing around with his producer, Manamela Duka, when he recorded his first song, Ke tsuba matekwane at JNF Records.
“From then I travelled from Kasi to Kasi, province to province, studio to studio doing what I loved most while on the other hand learning how to record other artists, mixing and mastering.”
His future plans include expanding his brand to be world class.
“So far, the biggest stage I ever performed on was the ‘Back to the City’ stage that gave me recognition. Now I have a classic called Jingle for Ntate Makume playing on Sedibeng FM daily.”
Under his Dreaded Empire he has also released songs such as Desert Eagle and We bout to be who we are where.
He will be releasing an EP called Loyal to royalty working with Prince Rowza on the production with music that, he said, gives great energy, strength and solace.
