Lakeview Park comes alive through Jazz

"This is the time to prove themselves.”

SEBOKENG. – The Sedibeng Jazz Foundation (SJF) held a session at the Lakeview Park in Residensia, Sebokeng on Sunday.

The Super Session, called Jazz in the Park was opened by the Avant-Garde Jazz Collectors, the session was sponsored by the Gauteng Department of Arts and Culture.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, SJF’s Happy Nape said that they also managed to build a friendship with Colgate and Protex Soap as they were part of sponsors as well as Golden Touch Life Style and Funeral Plan.

There were five live bands which performed on the day, Bongane ‘Jazzman’ Majola, Triangle Jazz Band, Afro Jabba Jazz Band, Ordridge Dingalo and school boys from Khutlo Tharo Secondary School.

“As the Sedibeng Jazz Foundation we would like to request to our local businesses to come on board for the betterment of Jazz. We wish all the best to our children who are writing the exams. This is the time to prove themselves.”
