Vaal Dance Legends hosts social dancing event

"The biggest challenge is to get facilities, like halls in the community."

VANDERBIJLPARK.- Vaal Dance Legends hosted a social dancing event at Hellenic Community Hall in Vanderbijlpark on Saturday.

This social dance event saw legends across all nine provinces come together to reflect on some good old times. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Jacob Mphai who is the coordinator for Vaal Dance Legends said the main objective of this event was to unite all former dancers so they can uplift and encourage young and upcoming dancers.

According to Mphai they want to open dance schools in townships but their biggest challenge is to get facilities, like halls in the community. “It was a great evening of dancing with former dancers and reflecting on our passion.”

“It was not about money back then but purely about entertaining audiences with our God-given talent. We love to dance and we are looking for potential sponsors to take this project to another level. We are grateful for the support we received on the day and we can only improve from here,” he said.
