SEBOKENG.- It was a battle between future Bafana Bafana stars when One For Sorry FC hosted the U11 Top4 Tournament at Sonderwater ground on Sunday.
This one-day development tournament was to give youngsters a platform to showcase and express their God-given talent. It was action galore throughout the day with the Sonderwater community coming in numbers to support this initiative. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Thabiso Nkoko said it was a great day with these youngsters enjoying every moment of action. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that he was overwhelmed by the talent that was displayed on the day.
Nkoko said the Vaal will always be a merger of South African football with Orlando Pirates sensation Relebohile Mofokeng representing this region. He said these youngsters’ talent must be protected so they can reach the level of Mofokeng.

“If there is anyone who is still not convinced that the Vaal has talent, then he or she has a serious problem. This region is unmatched when it comes to talent and stats are there for everyone to see. It doesn’t start with Rele (Mofokeng) but with the likes of Steve Lekoelea who is a household name in South African football. Mofokeng is following in the footsteps of Lekoelea who was a South African football darling.
I want to thank all the participating teams for making this tournament a success. I enjoyed watching all the teams play and the football future of this country looks good. Those youngsters need to be protected. I don’t doubt that they are going to make a name for themselves in South African football if they get proper development,” said Nkoko.

One For Sorry FC were crowned the tournament champions after they beat Bright Future Academy 1-0 in a thrilling final. It was a final to be remembered with both teams playing quality football.
Lehlohonolo “Hluga” Mokoena scored the only goal of the game to help his team lift the trophy. Thabo Malope from One For Sorry FC received an individual award as the Top Goal Scorer of the Tournament.
