Miss 2024 Sedibeng TVET advocates for education
Tshabalala says she gives back to the community through her beauty pageant, Miss Eloquent Vaal and her modelling agency Kutlwano-Entle, where she teaches young women how to launch their modelling careers.
Dream chaser Lebogang Tshabalala (20) is the reigning queen after she garnered the first position during the Miss Sedibeng TVET College pageant. The pageant was held at Sebokeng Campus recently.
Lebogang is currently pursuing a qualification in Tourism Management. She is also an aspirant flight attendant and would like to see herself working for one of the top traveling agencies in the country.
Citing her reason for entering the competition, Tshabalala states that she wanted to challenge herself and overcome her fear of going on stage.
“I wanted to develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. I wanted to establish myself as strong, confident, and charismatic thus promoting myself as a brand.
Tshabalala is not new to modelling as she holds many titles including Miss Sasolburg and Miss Lawley station. As an advocate for education, Tshabalala believes that education is essential for individuals, communities, and societies as a whole as it reduces poverty and inequality and increases social mobility.
“Through education, we get to have enhanced community development.” Tshabalala is inspired by people who work hard to conquer challenges and never give up on their dreams.
“I envision myself as Miss South Africa inspiring the nation with my resilience, creativity, and dedication to social change. I’m driven by academic excellence, entrepreneurial spirit, and innovation.”
Tshabalala says she gives back to the community through her beauty pageant, Miss Eloquent Vaal and her modelling agency Kutlwano-Entle, where she teaches young women how to launch their modelling careers.
As the title holder, Tshabalala cites that she is tasked with representing the whole institution.
“The important task is advocating for education and empowering fellow students by helping them with applications and applying for funding to further their studies.
“I fulfil my passion for helping people by collecting sanitary towels for the needy and also volunteer at various community projects.”
