SEDIBENG.- Local coaches attended the CAF B License Coaching Course in Bethlehem, Free State.
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana defender Mokoete Tsotetsi, Emfuleni Local Football Association Head of Technical Tsimo Motsepe, and France Mofula were the three local coaches who attended this coaching course.
These coaches took the initiative to attend this coaching course to further their coaching knowledge. Tsotetsi is one of the few professional soccer players in Sedibeng who is eager to make a name for himself in coaching. He has been coaching teams like Vaal Professionals and JDR since the club was promoted to the Motsepe Foundation Championships a few seasons ago. On the other hand, Motsepe has been involved in the development of football in Sedibeng for years now.

He also committed to empowering local coaches by organising coaching courses for them.
To make it interesting, it was a Vaal affair with former Bafana Bafana midfielder Augustine Makalakalane and former Banyana Banyana star Reneilwe ‘Maestro’ Mathibela who were part of the SAFA Coaches Instructors. No, doubt, the Vaal is a merger of South African football.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Motsepe said it was great to see five Vaal coaches under the same roof. He acknowledged that the Vaal plays an important role in South African football.
“I was proud to see all of us coming from the Vaal Triangle and how much those people admired us.
“I was sitting there, smiling, and seeing the five of us making such a difference in the development of football not only in Vaal but in South Africa. As the region we need to be proud of ourselves for making an impact in South African football,” said Motsepe.
Some notable former professional soccer players who attended this CAF B License Coaching Course included André Arendse, David Mathebula, Ditheko Mototo, Lucky Shiburi, Musa Nyatama, Ayanda Mkhize, and Brice Peterson.
