Suspect arrested for possession of illicit drugs in Vaal Marina

SEDIBENG.- A man accused of dealing in dagga and having crystal meth will appear in court this week.

He was arrested for illegal substances valued at R6 800 in Vaal Marina on November 30.

Authorities stopped a suspicious vehicle with three people inside on the R54 on Saturday afternoon. Inside the car, police found one of the guys in the vehicle in possession of a green bag.

Police spokesperson Constable Tshilidzi de Huis said:  “Police searched the bag and found dagga and crystal meth in the bag.  The driver of the vehicle informed the police that he didn’t know the guy who had the green bag because he gave that guy a lift as he was hitchhiking.”

The suspect faces charges of possession of dagga and crystal meth.
